Job Description

Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Senior-level data scientist to perform in depth, detailed system performance and interoperability analyses of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) system wide flight tests, ground tests, and other simulation-based testing to support the MDA Test Analysis and Reporting activity. The candidate will perform this analytical support for all phases of system-level test events including pre-mission predictive analysis, on-site quick-look analysis, and post-mission detailed analysis phases of the test process. The candidate will use existing and off-the-shelf tools to process multiple data sources to analyze and visualize MDS performance. Reporting activities can include the generation and presentation of test analysis planning documentation, test readiness briefs, quick look reports and briefs, and detailed analysis reports and briefs. The candidate will support the birth-to-death analysis process that requires ETL, scripting and dashboard development, and storyboarding to characterize system performance, identify anomalies, and communicate results to MDA leadership.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, or another technical discipline and 5-10 years experience
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets using SQL or Python
• Experience with Tableau, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
• Curiosity for knowledge and understanding, self-initiative, leadership, and customer interface skills are essential
• Ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment
• Some experience analyzing missile defense (Link-16, Aegis, THAAD, GMD, C2BMC, Overhead Sensors, and/or Patriot) is desired, but not necessary
• A minimum Secret level security clearance to access classified information
