Data Scientist

The Data Scientist is responsible for analyzing and interpreting large and complex data sets, developing predictive/ machine learning models, NLP techniques and communicating insights to various stakeholders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain machine learning models that are aligned with business objectives.• Investigate data issues and monitor machine learning model performance• Develop and maintain robust data analytics frameworks, methodologies, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy in data analysis.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments and analyses.• Conduct in-depth data analysis, applying statistical techniques and data mining methods to extract actionable insights and trends.• Translate and simplify data-informed insights into actionable business recommendations, implications and relevant data products• Utilize NLP techniques to extract meaningful information from unstructured data sources.• Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and NLP to ensure cutting-edge solutions.• Develop and implement advanced Natural Language Processing models to extract, analyze, and validate information from textual data sources• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.• 5+ years as Data Scientist or equivalent experience working with data/ predictive models• Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in real world scenarios.• Proficient in at least one statistical programming language such as Python, R.• Experience in NLP feature engineering and modeling• Proficient in SQL or Snowflake.• Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.• Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Experience conducting analyses and building predictive models using SAS (or similar)
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools preferred (like Domo or Tableau)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in an office or cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
