We are looking for a hands-on Medior Data Scientist in Jakarta who agrees that the cloud is the future. Are you also passionate about data science and the cloud? If yes, then keep reading.

This role will suit you if you

• are eager to work on projects coming from different industries and domains, such as airlines, entertainment, and e-commerce.
• are not afraid of dealing with petabytes of data stored in the cloud.
• are passionate about open-source state-of-the-art data science tools and methodologies (TensorFlow, Pytorch, transformers, scikit-learn).
• want to apply recent advances in any ML field to varied business challenges, including Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing.
• want to work with A+ colleagues and the region's most experienced GCP developers.
• like learning and sharing it with others.

You will be responsible for

• being a trusted advisor to our customers in tackling complex ML challenges in the cloud.
• implementing end-to-end AI solutions on GCP for real-world use cases including but not limited to recommendation engines, demand forecasting, Natural Language Understanding, dynamic pricing, computer vision challenges, A/B testing, and personalized campaigns.
• working with data engineers, infrastructure engineers, and application developers on a team to deliver complete AI products.
• keeping your knowledge up to date on GCP’s AI offerings. 
• delivering occasional training to customers on specific ML problems or toolsets. 
• participating in internal R&D initiatives to discover the latest scientific and technological advancements.

We want you to have

• a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in delivering data science projects.
• a thorough understanding of data science methodology standards and the theory around model building.
• hands-on experience within the PyData ecosystem (Python, sci-kit-learn, pandas, Pytorch, Tensorflow, transformers, fastai, etc.).
• experience in deploying models to production (Docker, REST, monitoring, etc.)
• the ability to write analytical queries in SQL.
• fluent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• client-facing skills.
• an overview of typical problems and solutions in multiple data science domains.
• the curiosity to learn and grow.

It is nice if you also have

• a university degree in a technical field.
• work experience in specific business domains such as finance, e-commerce, retail or airline.
• experience in working in enterprise settings.
• expertise in exact technical domains such as forecasting, ML pipeline orchestration, distributed or GPU computing.
• experience in cloud computing preferably in GCP.
