Responsibilities:
The Data Scientist will be responsible for researching technologies, methodologies, and approaches to find innovative solutions to solve supply chain problems. They will need to developprototype solutions for non-routine, complicated, and demanding supply chain problems while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for research discovery. This role will also require the Data Scientist to gather and process large and complex data sets and apply advanced analytical methods using statistics, machine learning, optimization, and simulation knowledge. They will need to program the theoretical approaches into practical prototypes and build the pipelines that can easily be fed into technical design. Communicating ideas and findings with effective presentations to stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information will be very important.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working collaboratively using data science (including statistics, machine learning, optimization) or simulation to solve real-world supply chain problems
- Master's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related
- Expert programming skills in at least 1 language such as python
- Experience using end to end ML pipelines
- Experience using Version Control, Jira
- SQL Skills
Additional skills needed:
- Knowledge of models for solutions to supply chain problems including - forecasting, inventory planning, supply planning, etc.
- Skills doing market analysis
- Analytics experience
- Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
