Mission Focus: Clean and enhance the underlying data and processes related to Foundational Military Intelligence (FMI)

Clearance: US Citizenship required to start, must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI CI Poly

Location/Flexibility: NTC HQ Vienna, partial remote work, onsite work conducted at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling

Responsibilities: 

As a data scientist you will:

• Work in a cross-functional engineering and product development team to pull and analysis data, execute cleaning algorithms, and modify existing cleaning algorithms
• Assist in identifying and developing new and innovative data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and data relationships
• Integrate algorithms and code into the project code base
• Support the development and execution of supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning (ML) algorithms for clustering, classification, and dimensionality reduction.
• Support data automation efforts
• Support execution of NLP algorithms for metadata extraction and content analysis
• Produce visualizations to communicate progress updates on data cleaning and enhancement efforts

Required Qualifications:

• BA or BS in a quantitative field
• Proficiency with at least one coding language
• Demonstrated ability to analysis quantitative data to produce summary statistics
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and code versioning tools such as git
• Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised machine learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in object-oriented programming
• Coding experience with python, SQL, R
• Experience with processing big data
• Experience in the following required task areas: machine learning, statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, and/or geospatial analytic
• Experience with local development and cloud development
• Understanding of the intelligence community (IC) mission and structure

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times
