Data Scientist

The Data Scientist will focus on researching, evaluating, and implementing algorithms for supplier collaboration to ensure low costs and maximize revenue. This role will also be responsible to envision, develop, and implement supply chain solutions to maintain low rates of days under construction for new homes. This role will present data findings, describe cost-benefit opportunities, and provide solution recommendations to key stakeholders. This role will help the team expand current analytic capability and be critical in developing unique tools that will provide value to the operation of the business.

Responsibilities

• Implement forecasting techniques to predict days under construction for new homes.
• Deploy recommendations to minimize days under construction for new homes.
• Make recommendations based on historical data to improve operation processes and maximize revenue.
• Build operational reporting to find areas of improvement in Products, Construction, Sales, Vendors, Design Centers, Customer Service, and Warranty
• Preform various analysis projects to provide inside to the departments that support the operations of the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, or related fields.
• Requires at least 2 years of experience in modeling, developing, and implementing forecasting and optimization models applied to revenue management and/or advanced operation analytics.

• Data Science and Machine Learning - Proficiency in Python and SQL are required.
• Passion for continued learning and growth in the applied analytics space.

• Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
