About the Team:
Within the Digital Organization, the Enterprise Data & Analytics (eDnA) group is responsible for the enterprise data strategy, analytics, and insights to enable exceptional customer and employee experiences (CX + EX) and steer UKG decisions on growth, retention, and operational agility. eDnA is organized around four key pillars to achieve business objectives:
β’ Business Operations: Define our cross-functional operating model, Objective and Key Results (OKR) planning, and internal business operations processes. β’ Enterprise Data Strategy & Operations: Define and implement the business data strategy, governance, and data foundational capabilities.β’ Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics: Provide analytics and machine learning models to inform business decisions. β’ Platform Strategy & Insight Solutions: Manage data platforms, analytic tools, and standardize development process.
About the Role:
The primary mission of the Data Scientist role is to help our business evolve into an insights-driven organization using statistical rigor and advanced analytic methodologies. The position sits in our Enterprise Data & Analytics (eDnA) group, which is responsible for the business data governance and management and delivering insights to drive business decisions. The Data Scientist will develop machine learning and natural language processing models to provide insights and recommendations for internal business teams. The produced insights will help business functions prioritize customer experience improvements, accelerate revenue opportunities, scale internal operational processes, and drive decision making with leaders across UKG.
β’ Understand business problems and objectives and translating them into Machine Learning solutions.β’ Explore, analyze and process large and complex datasets using Python libraries, SQL and BigQuery.β’ Develop, test, and validate Machine Learning models using Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn and other frameworks.β’ Deploy and monitor ML pipelines in Vertex AI.β’ Communicate the results and recommendations to the stakeholders and present them in a clear and compelling way.β’ Collaborate with other Data Scientists, Engineers, and Business Analysts in an agile environment.
Qualifications
About You:
Basic Qualifications:
β’ 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.β’ 3+ years of experience with Python and SQL.β’ Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or Keras.β’ Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.β’ Experience with data and ML cloud services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, SageMaker, Redshift, Azure ML Studio, Synapse, or Databricks.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ A master's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related fieldβ’ Experience using MLOps principles and practices to deploy, manage, track lineage, and monitor ML models.β’ Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Matplotlib.β’ Excellent communication and presentation skills.β’ A curious and creative mindset and a passion for solving problems with data.
