ROLE SUMMARY:

LeaseLock’s Data Science team develops machine learning models and provides analytical insights for various business purposes that include, but not limited to, risk controls, financial forecasting/planning, sales, & marketing. The ideal candidate can independently scope out impactful projects and prioritize work streams based on the needs of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop models and tools to predict property risk and prescribe financially viable policies that protect property owners from tenant delinquencies
• Deliver data-driven strategies and insights to help LeaseLock reach its operational and financial goals
• Identify data inconsistencies and build datasets/tables that enable new modeling frameworks and analytical use cases

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Modeling Skills — You have experience with the build, maintenance, and evaluation of models (e.g., GLMs, boosted trees) and the ability to communicate feature impact and model performance
• Software engineering skills — You’re proficient with writing production-level code in Python and SQL, maintaining Git repositories/packages, and deployment of data and modeling pipelines across multiple environments
• Analytical skills — You can derive strategic insights and forecasts from messy data and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

NICE TO HAVE:

• Cloud experience — You know and have experience deploying and maintaining solutions on the cloud and familiar with distributed computing platforms (e.g., Databricks, Spark)
• Dashboard experience — You have used Looker, MLflow, or a similar BI tool for data visualization and reporting
• Domain experience — You have experience working in insurance/finance/real estate and using external datasets to enrich our understanding of property risk
