Data Scientist

Overview: Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. is seeking Data Scientists (multiple openings) for its office in Austin, TX to develop, validate, and implement data-driven predictive models and machine-learning algorithms. The position requires, at a minimum, a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, or Computer Science, or the foreign degree equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or acceptable foreign equivalent GPA; experience working with large data sets and building statistical models, and developing algorithms; experience in applying data science techniques; and proficiency with analytical tools, including Jupyter Notebooks, Python, R, and supporting libraries as well as querying and scripting tools.
