Data Scientist/ Data Analyst

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks extremely talented Data Scientists & Analysts to join our growing data team. 

Tower is building a top tier systematic data platform which will power our multi-billion trading portfolios. The group is responsible for providing the overall data solution to the world's best prop trading business.  This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are passionate about data analysis, machine learning and quantitative investing. 

• Collecting new datasets from various sources including market data feeds, vendors data feeds, brokers, and other internal and external sources
• Engaging with vendors to understand the characteristics of datasets
• Building process to clean, transform, tag, and present datasets
• Monitoring and maintaining the data process, ensuring data quality and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build internal data products
• Researching on alpha sources, identifying patterns and trends in data
• Interacting with trading teams on data findings and insights
• Staying up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in data science and machine learning
• Developing and improving internal data catalog

• Ph.D. or Masters in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or other fields from a top ranked university
• 1+ years of financial industry experience preferred
• Programming expertise in Python/R, and at least one of C#, C++, or Java, experience in using data analysis libraries is a plus
• Programming skills in SQL or KDB
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience with data processing in GCP is a plus
• Experience with machine learning is a plus

Anticipated New York annual base salary range of 120K-200K, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
