Responsibilities
About the team:
The E-commerce Risk Control and Security team is dedicated to protect TikTok Shop from fraudulent activities and user abuses, ensuring a trustworthy and user-friendly marketplace for buyers, sellers, and creators. As a global team, we are developing and managing foundational platforms including the risk decision engine, enforcement framework, and model & graph platforms. These systems are tackling some of the highest throughput challenges across Global E-commerce.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for end-to-end data analysis projects in the e-commerce security field, including collecting, cleaning, and transforming e-commerce security-related data (such as transaction logs, user behavior data, abnormal order data, and fraud records), perceive and identify security risks from it, promote the implementation of data-driven e-commerce security solutions, and have the ability to implement and execute solutions in the production environment.
- Monitor and analyze e-commerce security data trends, including information leakage, malicious crawling of commodity/price data, etc.; identify data anomalies, potential security risks and optimization directions, improve the security of the e-commerce platform, and protect the rights and interests of users and merchants.
- Be responsible for data-based diagnosis of e-commerce security issues, use statistical methods and data mining technologies to conduct root cause analysis on e-commerce security pain points, and provide implementable security solutions to support e-commerce security decision-making.
- Collaborate deeply with e-commerce business teams, product teams, security teams and engineering teams, understand e-commerce security needs, convert them into e-commerce security data analysis tasks, and design and deliver scalable data analysis solutions to solve complex e-commerce security challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with proficiency in SQL, Python, and relevant analytical tools/languages, be able to detect cyber threats and risks by data-driven approaches.
- Excellent capabilities to investigate, identify, analyze hidden issues from e-commerce business data and security logs.
- Strong business judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, strong cross-team communication skills to achieve results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in data science and e-commerce security risk mitigation, such as data security, traffic security, or anti-bot.
- Experienced in e-commerce and retail related business fields, familiar with e-commerce security risks and data analysis scenarios.
- Demonstrated communication skills to bridge business and technical teams, able to efficiently promote projects from risk detection to solution implementation; good stress resistance and stability.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $228000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
