Data Scientist I

Job Summary The Data Scientist I supports data-driven research and innovation projects by cleaning, organizing, and analyzing scientific and operational data and building predictive machine learning models. This role focuses on developing foundational analytical models and collaborating with senior staff to generate insights that inform biomedical and bioengineering research and collaboration with industry partners. Key Responsibilities • Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for analysis and modeling. • Develop basic statistical and machine learning models under supervision. • Visualize data to communicate trends and insights. • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to integrate data-driven methods into experimental workflows. • Document processes and maintain data integrity and reproducibility. Qualifications • • PhD degree with research experience in both biological science and data Science. • • 2+ years experience in single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analysis • • Experience in data analytics, modeling, or research. • • Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB; experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly). • • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
