About the team
The success of TikTok's data business model hinges on the supply of a large volume of high quality labeled data that will grow exponentially as our business scales up. However, the current cost of data labeling is excessively high. The Data Solutions team is built to understand data strategically at scale for all Global Business Solution (GBS) business needs. Data Solutions Team uses quantitative and qualitative data to guide and uncover insights, turning our findings into real products to power exponential growth. Data Solutions Team responsibility includes infrastructure construction, recognition capabilities management, global labeling delivery management.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period.

Responsibilities
1. Conduct literature research to understand the best practice in the field;
2. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to uncover insights;
3. Train machine learning models to analyze historical data and make predictions;
4. Propose and validate workflows to solve business problems;
5. Present findings and recommendations to the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a degree/master in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Applied Analytics, Operations Research, Business Management, Engineering, Finance or any other relevant fields or a related technical discipline;
2. Strong technical skills in SQL and scripting languages (Python, R);
3. Experience with large databases or Hadoop ecosystem, Machine Learning and AI technologies;

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written);
2. Ability to relay technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
