The Opportunity:

The Data Scientist Technical Lead Manager will lead our data team in analyzing data to enhance our core live shopping and marketplace experiences. They will focus on extracting insights from data to drive our GMV and DAU goals, optimizing user experiences, and ensuring data integrity and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the data science team in designing and developing data models, algorithms, and analytics tools

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define data-driven strategies and product features

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes

• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights for product and business strategies

• Oversee data governance and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations

• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical direction and career development

• Drive major data initiatives, including rollouts of new analytics features and systems

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver impactful analytics solutions

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data science or related fields

• Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools

• Experience with big data technologies such as BigQuery, Spark, or similar

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is a huge plus but not required
