About the role:

GoHealth is looking for a Data Scientist to join its growing Product Optimization Data Science (PODS) team, which is responsible for developing production machine learning models that help agents effectively qualify and match individuals to the best plan and ensure a member’s needs continue to be met during their healthcare journey.  You will play a pivotal, hands-on role in model training, feature engineering, parameter optimization, and integration of our models into software products that serve both our agents and consumers.  This role will directly report to our Senior Director of Data Science – Product Optimization.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct product, customer, and model segmentation to optimize performance, reliability, and accuracy for GoHealth’s production proprietary models.
• Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders and the Product team to curate, innovate, and deliver new intelligent models that drive greater efficiency, performance, and growth.
• Work collaboratively with Software Engineering and Data Engineering to deliver scalable and reliable MLOps pipelines into production.

What we’re looking for:

• Python expertise
• Proficiency in SQL
• 2+ years of experience building and deploying models including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series
• 1+ years of experience building and scaling ML pipelines on either AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Advanced knowledge across an array of machine learning and statistical techniques (Bayesian statistics, PCA, boosting, bagging, bootstrapping, etc.)
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a quantitative and/or engineering discipline
