Data Scientist, Product & Programs

Genesis Therapeutics is building a world-class software team to solve problems in drug discovery through machine learning, biophysical simulation, and computational chemistry. We are looking for our first Data Scientist to join our Product team to establish a data-driven product development culture, define core metrics across our drug discovery software platform and drug program progress and efficiency, build our technical foundation for data tracking and analysis, and establish dashboards and analysis for leadership and program teams.

You Will

• Build foundations – technical and analytical: Define metrics across programs and lead implementation of data tracking, documentation, validation, etc.
• Provide product insights - Program and team tracking: Track performance / progress by series by program. Track engineering / research team progress towards company / quarterly goals. Analysis of our screening process: time to review, synthesize, assay, and CRO productivity. Comparisons of generation methods. Tracking the ancestry/provenance of molecules as it evolves through multiple stages.
• Provide product insights - Productionization of our methods: Track usage of new methods as they get productionized, across generation and scoring. Retrospective tracking of the predictive power of our methods. Attribution tracking of assayed molecules.
• Communicate insights to engineering, science and program teams to inform decision making, and ultimately to improve metrics.

You Are

• A Data Scientist or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• A sharp generalist
• Proficient with SQL, Python/Pandas
• Able to execute complex analyses and connect and integrate data from multiple sources
• Able to implement data infrastructure
• Analytical and have the ability to break down complex data into simple and usable analyses
• A great communicator and have a great EQ for working across many people from different teams and projects
• Persistent and able to get things done despite hurdles
