Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders (R&D scientist or other Hill's/CP groups) to execute data mining campaigns and deliver meaningful insights and hypotheses for nutritional impact on pet health.
• Develop, validate, and implement programmatic approaches for data visualization, descriptive statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Develop analytical/ML approaches to transform image, mobility and other health related observations into quantifiable metrics
• Develop programmatic strategies to identify and tackle data analytic problems
• Write, refine, and manage python scripts for data analytics
• Work with individuals throughout R&D to find key data sources, assess quality, and devise strategies for utilization
• Work with current databases to build pipelines for manipulation, visualization, and descriptive/predictive modeling
• Design data flows to extract data from organizational architecture and ETL into cloud architecture
• Present work to R&D partners and make recommendations regarding implementation
• Build data advanced visualizations including dashboards and custom javascript implementations
• Share knowledge with immediate data science team through regular presentations of progress, struggles, and advances
• Assist in training R&D scientists on basic python and analytical skills
• Stay abreast of new developments in data science by attending conferences/webinars and following relevant sources.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Data Science with a minimum of 3 years of data analytics/programming experience
• OR PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline and 1 year of data analytics/programming experience is required
• Experience with biological/health/nutrition data is required
• Active GitHub account with examples of past work is preferred
• Active contributor to open-source data science projects such as Kaggle competitions is preferred

Salary Range $77,120 - $158,445 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
