Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Data Scientist to join us and support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA.

We're seeking a candidate with hands-on experience crafting algorithms using R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL. Your prowess should extend to distributed data/computing tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with developing in a classified environment. 
• 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining, especially pertaining to large data stores.
• 5+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis 
• 5+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses and visualization of targeted data sources.
• Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs.
• Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL
• Experience with Distributed data/computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
• Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2.
