Job Description:
Ready for a challenge that will keep you on the cutting edge of cyber security? National Security Solutions works on top level cyber operations for national defense programs and is hiring experienced Data Scientists with a focus on research, innovation and solving mission critical challenges.

We need our Engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new challenges across the knowledge and data management. In this role you will be a key player in finding novel solutions to aggregate essential information and perform the required data processing to make the data accessible, meaningful, and relevant.
Responsibilities:
- Develop novel solutions for providing data "one stop shops" through aggregation or query in time correlations of disparate data sets
- Identify key sets of data, find their current storage location, evaluate said location for practical use, and perform requisite data engineering to highlight key elements of information and format data in a meaningful way
- Perform root cause analysis on pertinent mission questions to evaluate why a question is being ask in order to develop solutions that will provide accurate answers
- Work within an agile development team to produce quick turn, fail fast prototype solutions
- Develop data visualization using custom code or off the shelf products to showcase valuable insights extracted from large volumes of data.
- Identify areas for potential automation and consider applications of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence
- As needed, support development of prototypes when low code or no code solutions are available
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience of technical expertise in the areas of software development, systems engineering, system integration, computer architecture component definition, or technology insertion for complex hardware/software systems
- 5+ years of data science and/or data engineering work
- Ability to write custom code in commonly used languages (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript, etc)
- Familiarity with cyber domain
- Comfortable producing meaningful visualizations using any number of off the shelf solutions
- Exposure to and practical experience with ML/AI a plus
- Agile Development experience

Salary Range:
$121,900.00 - $219,400.00
