Job Description
Achieve (formerly the Freedom Financial Network) has openings for Data Scientists at its companies Freedom Debt Relief, Freedom Asset Management, Freedom Network Funding, and Lendage.
Location: San Mateo, CA and Tempe, AZ
Data Scientist is core position involved in executing data analysis and modeling tasks. The overarching mandate for the Data Scientist is to execute on analytic delivery and to develop new analytic capabilities for the organization
Job Duties:
Works on data model maintenance, development, & optimization, data file preparation, reporting & ad-hoc analyses.
Perform predictive modeling & convert analytic findings into customer insights.
Prepare & manipulate data using R & SQL.
Works with internal stakeholders.
Statistical Predictive Modeling & Analysis
Define business problems, translating them to analytic questions, determining whether such data are available in our data warehouse, extracting them for analysis from company database, cleaning & preparing the data for modeling, applying different statistical models based on specific business problems.
Build, maintain & optimize predictive statistical models (such as linear regression, logistic regression, Random Forest, XGBOOST, etc.) to estimate impact on profitability drivers based on response, risk, & customer demographic/ credit data, implement analytical technique, tools, scorecards, innovate advanced analytic techniques to analyze customer data & measure the marketing initiative performance.
Through analysis & modeling, identify trends, patterns & relationships & make predictions & forecasting in the data that provide answers to questions posed by upper management. Analyze & monitor front-end & back-end A/B testing initiatives, measure true incremental impact of the business initiatives.
R & SQL programming
Perform R & SQL programming every day to work on a variety of quantitative analysis, statistical modeling & reporting. Write SQL queries to extract, & manipulate data in BigQuery, transform raw data to into a format suitable for analysis & archiving, apply advanced data mining & programing techniques to extract information from relational databases or big data repositories, design solutions to improve data processing performance of big datasets.
Results Reporting & Visualization
Summarize results & prepare reports of their findings once the data are analyzed. Create daily updated dashboards using data visualization techniques, such as charts, graphs, & pivot table either in Excel or Tableau to illustrate the results & make them understandable by decision makers within the company.
Present the results to upper management, effectively communicate the reports updates, point out the limitations of the existing data so that decision makers will not misinterpret results.
