Process Brief

Private market strategy and data integration team focuses on increasing the geographical breadth and data depth of our private company data coverage by formulating optimum strategy and identifying best-suited third-party vendors and self-sourcing workflows. The team is recruiting a Data Solutions Specialist who will lead data diligence projects and facilitate testing, research, evaluations, and benchmarking of data offerings from different vendors. The Data Solutions Specialist will also be responsible for facilitating data integration workflows and resolving data sourcing and onboarding issues in collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of data and workflow requirements private companies.
• Perform data sourcing diligence, including buy/build scenarios and blockers/dependencies.
• Take ownership of test plans for product/content sets
• Maintain an effective repository of documentation that is helpful in tracking data lineage and support ongoing operations with transparency.
• Identifies, develops, and strategizes to drive process efficiency.
• Develop expertise and competitive analysis across 3rd-party, and as-collected (in house) data for private companies.
• Learn technical skills to build and/or support components of products and databases.
• Maintain proactive upward and downward communication related to progress and challenges for ongoing project.
• Collaborates across FactSet with project stakeholders regarding key deliverables, data sources and analytics for private company data.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Management or equivalent)
• Experience in Private company/ PE/VC data workflows and data structures.
• Strong data aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills across technology, product, and data stakeholders.
• Experience with database technology such as SQL (desirable).
• Expertise in data handling using excel and other data visualisation tools.
• Basic understanding of predictive analysis and ML/AI concepts.
• Highly organized, inquisitive, engaged, enthusiasm for improvement
• Deep understanding of financial data provider and emerging sources.

The budgeted salary range for this position in the State of Connecticut is 53,600 - 77,000.
