Data Specialist

Job Description:

As an IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) Migration Lead, you will play a key role in leading migration projects from CDIPC or on-premises systems to cloud-based environments. This position requires expertise in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services and a deep understanding of data integration, migration strategies, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Migration Planning: Lead the planning and strategy development for migrating on-premises data integration and ETL processes to Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.

2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to migration teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and efficient execution of migration projects.

3. Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of existing on-premises systems, identifying data integration components and dependencies for migration.

4. Solution Design: Design and architect data integration solutions on Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.

5. Migration Execution: Oversee the execution of migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

6. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to validate migrated data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to business rules.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business users, data architects, and IT teams, to ensure alignment of migration efforts with business objectives.

8. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including migration plans, technical specifications, and post-migration support guidelines.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience in leading data migration projects, particularly involving Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.

- In-depth knowledge of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data migration strategies.

- Proficiency in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, including expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data integration solutions.

- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS Cloud Platform.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Informatica certification(s) related to cloud data integration and migration.

- Experience with other cloud-based ETL and data integration platforms.

- Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.

- Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools for migration tasks.
