Data Strategy Analyst

Introduction
This Data Strategy Analyst role integrates business data requirements driving quality programs and platform enhancements assessment and integration of data sources developing the user communities understanding of data. Data Strategy Analysts are a conduit to the Data Systems platform team.

Your Role and Responsibilities
At the strategic level you will both help design the processes & infrastructure that underlies IBM Marketing goals. and execute elements of our strategic data plan. At the tactical level you will help our user communities to utilize data efficiently maximizing efficiency & effectiveness. You will also interface with service providers at the infrastructure development and operations levels on a daily basis and IBM Product & Service support teams as required.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Have excellent communication skills and experience in working within a diverse virtual team.
• Have at least 5 years’ experience in fields closely related to the analysis & management of data the development & integration of internal and external data sources and summary fact tables.
• Understand operation within a regulated data privacy environment.
• Have a qualification in Marketing Engineering Computing Statistics or equivalent discipline. Alternatively – over 5 years of demonstrated professional data experience will also be considered.
• High Technical SQL proficiency within a DB2 environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Have experience in working with multiple service providers to deliver complex projects.
• Have experience with data matching and standardization technologies or processes.
• Has experience in the design & development of data infrastructure to improve efficiency of operations within our environment.
• SQL and Analysis tools such as QMF dBeaver SPSS Python or other Query/Insight tools accessing DB2 Big Data or COS environments
• Experience with BI Tools such as Cognos Tableau etc. would be beneficial
