POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Data Team Lead to join our Scrum Data Team. This role is responsible for leading and managing a team composed of both Data Engineers and Business Intelligence professionals, who work collaboratively within a Scrum framework. As a Data Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data architecture, standardizing processes, and driving the adoption of modern data technologies.

Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 *
*Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the applicant.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Data Team Lead to join our Scrum Data Team. This role is responsible for leading and managing a team composed of both Data Engineers and Business Intelligence professionals, who work collaboratively within a Scrum framework. As a Data Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data architecture, standardizing processes, and driving the adoption of modern data technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide managerial oversight and guidance to a team of engineers and BI professionals.
- Lead the decision-making process regarding the selection and implementation of data visualization tools, ensuring the democratization of data and making it accessible to all stakeholders.
- Oversee the movement of data, emphasizing the "how" rather than the "what" of making data available to the organization.
- Drive the integration of business perspectives into data engineering, enabling a wider view of the organization's needs and goals.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, providing effective leadership and demonstrating thought leadership capabilities.
- Actively research and evaluate new data technologies and connectors, proposing solutions that enhance our data architecture and help fill existing knowledge gaps.
- Work towards standardizing processes and best practices, unifying data management and BI teams, and driving the consolidation of data warehouses.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement a modern data environment that enables efficient and secure data operations.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, capable of guiding and motivating a diverse team of professionals.
- Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, Terraform, visualization platforms (Tableau, Looker), and SQL-based technologies (DBT, stored procedures).
- Familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, or SSAS.
- Strong technical background in data engineering and a solid understanding of data management best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between technical and business perspectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Passion for driving innovation, standardization, and process improvement within a data-driven organization.
