Data Technologies Lead - Nationwide - Remote Summary:

IT INFRASTRUCTURE PLATFORM - DATA TECHNOLOGIES LEAD

RSM has an opportunity for an Infrastructure Platform - Data Technologies Lead who loves developing Data Technologies and is ready for their next challenge. You will work alongside our top-notch IT professionals leading and orchestrating RSM's modern information technology infrastructure. You'll be a technical leader who is responsible for the development, delivery and management of consumable technologies, processes, and integrations to support RSM lines of business and their respective portfolios. Outside of your team, you'll collaborate with Enterprise Solutions Developers, IT Architecture Engineers, line-of-business (LOB) professionals as well as other IT professionals/leaders to ensure business needs are continually met. You'll be responsible for working directly with Platform and Program engineering teams on the adoption of new technologies to increase the agility and technical aptitude across all the Engineering teams. You'll be challenged to contribute to innovation of new concepts and ideas, and continuous process improvement.

To fill this role, you must have demonstrated experience as a technology visionary, collaborating with other functional groups in providing a roadmap strategy to senior management. You will maintain high standards while fostering a proactive, efficient, and service-oriented work environment. Communication is the key to success.Communication and professionalism are paramount as you will be representing RSM Technical Services to effectively engage with technical and business leadership as well as external providers of IT services. You will also use all your abilities to mentor and develop less experienced Engineering team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Leads development of technical standards, procedures, and techniques for various Data and Storage Technologies across many platforms to ensure maximum application availability and performance. Leads development and is accountable for monitoring solutions and orchestration solutions for SLI/SLO metrics of the firms Data and Storage Technologies.
• Lead development for Proof of Concepts for new applications and automation initiatives. Propose new ideas and innovative solutions to problems. Be a leader with IT professionals in the production of IT architectural designs of major Data Technologies. Engage with other engineering teams to improve the lifecycle of services on our platform.
• Works in partnership with other IT and non-IT related professionals such as Developers, Architects, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and business leaders.
• Leads development of SRE/DevOps standards for Data Technologies and continually improves upon these processes and technologies. Leads the design, development, and automation of continuous integrations pipelines for major Data Technologies in a templatized IaC format for reusability across the Enterprise. Utilizing market leading IaC tools, services, and technologies.
• Leads development and orchestration of Data Technologies across Cloud Computing and on perm platforms. Following SRE standards for toil optimizations and following continuous virtuous cycling. As required engage with other Engineering teams on Technologies in a support capacity that are not well understood or optimized that support our various Products.
• Participates in scheduled and unscheduled weekend/after-hours system maintenance and support. Performs rotational on-call duty.

QUALITIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Or equivalent work history/experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Microsoft Windows 2012-2019 Server administration
• Troubleshooting of complex distributed environments
• Strong Data Technology concept and Architectural Knowledge
• Strong Automation/SRE/IaC skillsets
• Agile Methodology Experience
• Strong Public Cloud Data Technology Experience - AWS/Azure
• Data Technology Platform Monitoring experience
• Microsoft SQL Server

EXPERIENCE

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network and directory services required
• 10+ years of Infrastructure Platform Data Technology
• 3+ Experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure/O365/AWS)
• IaC Technologies (Ansible, ADO, Pipelines, Git, Terraform, YAML)
• Managing infrastructure in a virtualized environment
• Strong SQL and structured Data Platform experience
• Strong unstructured Data Technology experience (CosmosDB, Azure Data Lakes)
• ETL Process and Technology experience
• AWS Data Technologies (DynamoDB, RDS, DocumentDB) - preferred
• Experience in Orchestration and containerization using Kubernetes - preferred
