Job Title: Data Visualization Developer - SQL, Power BI

Duration : 6+ Months

Job Location: Beaverton, OR (Remote)

Key skills: Advanced Tableau vis development skills. , ability to write/read SQL , experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services);

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy data visualization products including performance management tools, self-service reports, exception-based dashboards and automated insights that enable business decisions, drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals.
• Serve as a key player in solution design, ETL, and stakeholder management; collaborate with engineering partners to ensure performant and effective data/reporting integration and supportability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the development of robust data visualization and dashboarding solutions that help the business operationalize analytical insights to drive performance.
• Represent data visualization capability and community through best-in-class design practices and standardization across data products.
• Apply expertise to collaborate with key partners to understand requirements for reports and interactive dashboards, deliver incremental value, drive knowledge into action, and support data driven decision making.
• Document, communicate, and train systems/analytics changes to the user community, translating sophisticated functionality into business relevant language.
• Keep current on data visualization technology and standard methodologies.
• Work with a strong UX/UI mindset to deliver user-centered data products that look and feel on-brand
• Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore, fix and solve problems.
• Design, develop and build frameworks for the design and delivery of data and analytics solutions.

Requirements:

• 6 years of relevant experience developing dashboards, data visualizations and self-service tools (One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yr; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs exp)
• Solid experience in using data visualization techniques to make sophisticated data more accessible, understandable and usable to drive business decisions and outcomes to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Experience with data extraction and analysis technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, JS/React, Domo, SQL or similar tools
• Experienced in developing, testing and implementing/maintaining intuitive dashboards and self-service tools
• Flexible, dynamic personality who works well partnering/collaborating in a matrixed team environment
• Expert at exploratory data analysis, identifying critical information, developing hypotheses, and making recommendations
• Strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently requiring minimal direction, complete large projects following established guidelines/procedures and take initiative to explore and solve problems
• Strong process orientation and project management skills to manage multiple project streams
• Experience with large data sets, data models, and intermediate to advanced SQL skills
• Good understanding of key topics in vertical retail, marketing science, data science, and applied analytics as well as emerging trends in market research, consumer insights, ecommerce, and digital marketing
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, STEM and/or related field.
