Job Description Summary:

Transformation Enablement and Measurement team is seeking an experienced Data Visualization Specialist to help drive the Product & Platform Health Dashboard forward. We are looking for a visualization expert who is comfortable with data and BI Tools to design and deliver strategic insights to the business stakeholders, The role of the Data Visualization Specialist comprises of (1) developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards (2) determining the right KPIs to include in the Product & Tech scorecard (3) monitor performance of the business groups using the data in the dashboards and (5) delivering insights at a regular cadence to business stakeholders empowering them to transform, grow and scale their portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good business acumen, is passionate about creating innovative analysis to understand trends and identify opportunities and the ability to effectively communicate with different levels of the organization. This role requires business/customer analysis and data visualization. The position requires someone who has been in such roles for 6-7 years, needs moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment, while managing a variety of responsibilities

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining advanced reports and dashboards
• Own metric design and creation by defining business requirements, framework & optimization, and long-term data scalability
• Design, implement and tune MySQL views and stored procedures
• Transforming data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals
• Building and governing matrices for fast changing business in an analytical data-driven approach to identify business issues and opportunities
• Develop intuitive, attractive, and interactive data visualizations for various business process, annual and quarterly reports, presentations to c-suite and other stakeholders
• Architect, develop, validate and communicate BI solutions such as reports, dashboards, templates, key performance indicators (KPIs) and alerts
• Build, debug, monitor and troubleshoot databases and ETL processes to ensure optimal performance, reliability and integrity
• Establish data visualization standards and explore new, cutting-edge tools to periodically raise those standards
• Execute ad hoc analyses that translate data into actionable insights
• Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
• Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems.
• Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
• A solid understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalization.
• Accuracy and acute attention to detail; ability to accurately implement last-minute changes
• Demonstrated experience managing pressure and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Experience designing in Tableau, Power BI or similar tools is strongly recommended
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven ability of looking at solutions in unconventional ways- seeing opportunities to innovate and leading the way
• Strong proficiency in SQL- Creative in finding new solutions and designing innovative methods, systems and processes 
• Relevant work experience.
• A good understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalization.
• Experience in database schema design preferred.
• Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools.
• Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics.
• Experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, SQL, Power BI a plus
• Minimum Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of directly applicable experience; Master’s degree and 4-5 year’s experience preferred.
