Pay Range: $62,755 - 95,702 annually

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

As NFM's Database Administrator/Developer III, you will assist with the design, construction and implementation of complex database structures. Setup and maintain back-ups, recovery programs, archiving functions and conversion strategies on specific database technologies. Responsible for resolving issues, fixing defects, identifying root causes and developing solutions to production problems. This is an onsite position located in our Omaha, NE office.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Executes: Implements database designs including normalizations
  • Unravel: Resolves database performance and capacity issues
  • Team Up: Collaborates with teammates include other Database Administrators-Developers and IT Architects
  • Support: Manage and maintain data in all production and non-production databases
  • Play your Part: Oversee data testing, reporting, back- ups and restorations

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • Bachelor's degree is required, computer science, math, related field or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years of experience as database administrator/developer or NFM experience or have achieved a technical certification or developed a unique skill set
  • 6-8 years of experience working with Multivalued database - Reality, JBase, Unidata/Universe Management skills
  • Technical skills - comprehensive understanding of application software and system concepts and the ability to apply them for the completion of complex assignments
  • Database design skills including normalization
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Programing in DataBasic within Multivalued database development skills including stored procedure, function, and trigger creation
  • Fluency with Multivalued TCL - Terminal Control Language
  • Experience with Multivalued 4 GL Development tools - Cuebic
  • Management of Production, Development, Test and Sandbox environments
  • Strong understanding and experience in IBM AIX operating system
  • Excellent query optimization and performance tuning skills
  • Strong understanding and experience developing Implementation and working with UNIX open-source packages
  • Open-source packages include:
    • Curl
    • Samba
    • Web services - Inbound and outbound - Restful
    • GnuPG/PGP - Gnu Privacy Guard/Pretty Good Privacy
    • SSH - secure shell
    • SFTP - secure transport
    • GCC - C Compiler
    • Tomcat java servlet
    • Apache webserver
    • Certificate management for GnuPG/PGP
  • Experience with SSH keys management - secure shell certificate
  • Knowledge of KornShell (ksh) and scripting
  • Interface with external systems and vendors - ETL, file transfers
  • Detailed analytical skills
  • Knowledge of PII, PCI/DSS Compliance
  • Knowledge of Company/Confidential/Privileged information protection
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check
