Database Administrator

 Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to design, maintain, and optimize our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will excel in database design, implementation, and performance tuning across RDBMS, NoSQL, and Data Warehouse systems. Collaboration with application engineers in an agile environment is crucial to ensure database performance, security, and compliance with global InfoSec standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Database Infrastructure: Design, implement, and manage scalable databases ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
2. Performance Optimization: Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance.
3. Capacity Management: Manage database instance sizes and plan for capacity.
4. Data Sync & ETL: Oversee data synchronization and manage ETL processes.
5. InfoSec Compliance: Ensure databases comply with InfoSec standards and implement security measures.
6. Database Design: Provide expertise in database design and execution using RDBMS, NoSQL, and Data Warehouse technologies.
7. Agile Collaboration: Work with application engineers in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning and code reviews.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and Data Warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).
• Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
• Understanding of InfoSec requirements and data security best practices.
• Experience in an agile development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the SaaS industry, especially in messaging.
• Certifications in database management and InfoSec compliance.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
