We are building out the latest generation of credit reporting services supporting hundreds of thousands of visitors daily, on mobile and desktop. We are looking for an experienced, and passionate database administrator to join our remote team. Our collaborative environment relies on innovation and technical experience. Interested? You Will:
- Set-up, administer and maintain health of MS SQL servers and backups
- Collaborate with our SRE team that manages hardware and storage
- Monitor and tune performance of databases and stored procedures
- Design / create and support data structures to support new products
- Collaboratively support the stability of on-prem MSSQL servers
- Design and execute cluster failover strategies to minimize business impact
- Participate (after fully trained) in our on call rotation; one week per month. Additional compensation is provided for the on call week
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience administering on-prem MS SQL serves
- The ability to operate with database security & integrity in mind
- Experience developing database disaster recovery procedures
- Experience architecting, implementation & monitoring database maintenance in a fast paced startup environment
Nice to Have:
- Valid professional database certification(s) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge
