ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clear documentation of the database setup and architecture; write procedures for backup and disaster recovery
• Perform database backups and restores; regularly test backups and monitor system performance on production servers, troubleshoot as necessary
• Establish and maintain security policies and procedures pertaining to all servers which rely on the Oracle database platform
• Coordinate with Engineers and Space Operations to ensure successful integration, verification, and validation of patches or hardware installation on production systems
• Works on-call as needed or assigned by supervisor to ensure 24/7 support of Space Operations
• Work on range test missions as well as RETS technical projects involving software and other technical support
• Maintain membership to our Issue and Technical Review Boards to discuss issues/bugs/artifacts pertaining to our software products
• Obtain DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification within 3 months of hire, Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of hire

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related Engineering degree
• 2+ years of experience
• Experience with Linux Operating System
