Work Location: Hybrid, San Antonio, TX - JBSA Fort Sam Houston, fully remote work considered for the right candidate.

Daily schedule: 40 hours per week, standard business hours

Expected Pay Rate: $45/hr to $60/hr, negotiable

Start: February 13th, 2023

Duration: Contract through September 27th, 2023, likely extension

Idea Entity, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is a global change management consulting firm committed to delivering customer outcomes that change the way business is done. We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator who will assume a key role on our team. This role will support the objectives of the Surgeon General and the DHA principles within Resource Management, the RM office has been tasked to provide enduring and adaptable internal business solutions in various areas within the DHA. To do this, the Resource Management office requires a unique set of skillsets and dedicated CME to perform these business processes.

This role will be operating on a hybrid schedule with one to two (1-2) telework days a week on-site out of San Antonio, TX (Ft. Sam Houston). Fully remote work considered for the right candidate. Due to the nature of this role, US Citizenship/Green Card Work Authorization is required and is not eligible for sponsorship.

Your responsibilities:

Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security. Design and construct large relational databases. Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality. Assist development team with data management, including data warehousing systems and concepts.

Requirements

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data management, including data warehousing systems and concepts, as well as data transformation and integration techniques.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in performing data extractions, data analysis and programming, to include writing advanced SQL Queries or creating programs in a statistical software package such as SAS, R, or Stata for the purpose of data analytics and decision science.
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in a field related to mathematical statistics or biostatistics, data science, computer information systems, finance, accounting, public health, informatics, or healthcare administration. Can substitute education requirement for greater experience.
• Understanding of the DoD Applications STIG's
• Relevant experience working with Application Developers an integrating SQL Server and IIS.
• .NET Framework and .NET Core experience a plus.
• Security + certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with DoD and experience with Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR).
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Exceptional communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Customer service oriented and approachable.
