Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team who can deliver business intelligence and data management support to a government space technology research and development (R&D) program. The position specifically supports NASA’s Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program within the Agency’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD). Work will support NASA and may be performed remotely. Occasional travel may be required for this position. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Work with the SBIR/STTR Program Manager, Unit Leads, and existing contract staff to develop and implement data management techniques, manage SQL databases, and enable analysis across SBIRs historic and current data. 

Develop and Manage Data Repositories:

  • Develop and implement a SQL compliant database for all SBIR data. 
  • Connect SQL database to document library.
  • Implement tools such as DataBricks or Snowflake to manage SBIR data and support business intelligence.
  • Leverage third party APIs to transfer and update data.
  • Document data strategy and develop schemas across all SBIR solicitation processes.
  • Administer one or more databases hosted on NASA cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct quality control and regular data reviews.

Data Analytics:

  • Support implementation of web-based SQL queries.
  • Conduct research and data queries to support program analysis.
  • Recommend new tools and approaches to support evolving program data needs.

Additional Duties:

  • Support program knowledge management through appropriate use of Box or SharePoint to coordinate filesharing between internal and external partners.
  • Engage with the help desk team to address client inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Support program planning and development of data strategies.
  • Support monthly and annual reporting.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, understanding and addressing their needs.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all communication materials and processes.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a data analyst with experience pulling and consolidating accurate and timely analyses. 
  • Prior experience as a database administrator.
  • Experience with SQL, DataBricks, Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with NASA STMD and the SBIR/STTR program (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, proven ability to deliver on time, and ability to track multiple simultaneous projects with evolving requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Expert user of SharePoint
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Must be able to pass background investigation to comply with SF85.
