Database Administrator

We are now looking for a full-time Database Administrator to join our RELEX team in the US. You’ll join our Cloud DevOps team, who will help you succeed in your new role. Together with the team you will help to deliver our Retail Space Optimization products on hybrid cloud environments. You will help the team achieve this goal by ensuring calm operational performance for our database environments and technical services. 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Install, upgrade, and manage RELEX space optimization solutions on MS SQL Server / MySQL database platforms 
• Apply Infrastructure as a Code approach and modern DevOps tools for above (e.g. Gitlab, Terraform, Jenkins) 
• Manage and operate multiple customer production environments 
• Set and maintain database standards 
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database performance issues and collaborate with software engineers 
• Build and implement structured roadmaps for ensuring performance of infrastructures 
• Develop processes for optimizing and standardizing database operations and deployments 
• Create and validate disaster recovery plans 

What you’ll bring to the table: 

• Over 3 years of database administration experience (MS SQL Server / MySQL) 
• Solid understanding on OLTP databases and their management needs 
• Solid experience working in public cloud environment – Azure preferred 
• Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC)  experience such as Terraform / Ansible for automating setup/configuration tasks
• Strong will to learn how our products use database resources 

What we consider as an advantage: 

• Experience on operating systems and hybrid cloud deployments (Azure, AWS or private cloud platforms) 
• Database administrator certifications
