Database Analyst - Marketing

The Database Analyst is responsible for MCIF database planning, optimization, monitoring, and configuration as it relates to research and insights. The Database Analyst ensures multiple data sources are managed in an efficient and accurate manner and is responsible for researching, compiling, and analyzing information on products, target audience and market conditions to identify potential new markets, opportunities, and the most effective methods of marketing specified products.

What you will do here:

Review, update and maintain the MCIF (Marketing Customer Information File) Database, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security. Build and maintain a data dictionary for the MCIF database in relation to the data warehouse fields/business glossary.

Perform research and deep dive analysis of Desert Financial's member base to gather member data, preferences, and behavior to provide actionable insights that help shape marketing and business strategy. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop member-centric marketing strategies that drive member engagement and satisfaction.

Perform research for specific lines of businesses on campaigns, target audience, information and insights.

Perform research and compile data related to current product market, customer demographics and interest, and factors influencing product demand; analyze results to identify ways of maximizing market penetration of current products.

Summarize and analyze data. Forecast and track industry marketing and sales trends based on collected data, deliver visually compelling reports and presentations of findings to management and/or executive leadership, and make recommendations related to research findings. Reports findings, complete with graphs illustrating data and written text explaining complex findings.

Accurately and efficiently define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner. Create technical and non-technical documentation; test and maintain relational database software including patches, updates and upgrades and related hardware. Establish and coordinate database user access and privileges.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business, or Statistics preferred; or Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

2+ years of database management and/or research experience required.

1+ years of financial services or credit union industry experience preferred.

Familiarity with Member Customer Information File (MCIF) systems preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights required.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) required.

Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders required.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and compliance required.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and IT departments required.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively required.

Self-motivated and proactive with a passion for using data to drive marketing success required.
