Database Architect
Job Description
T-Rex is looking to select a Database Architect to support our US Census Bureau (USCB) customer. The Database Architect will leverage their comprehensive expertise to support the ongoing development and transformation of large applications and data to support the digitally transformed USCB. USCB has a variable computing workload that requires real-time scaling IT environments to become one of the largest and most successful production environments running in the AWS GovCloud region. We require an innovative Database Architect who can help our customer continue to transition, operate and scale their applications in a new, highly secure enterprise cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead in designing database architectures
- Establish standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security through design strategies for multidimensional networks
- Implemented a large scale multi-Terabyte enterprise to meet customer needs
- Manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization.
- Hybrid work environment. Census Bureau is primarily remote, though likelihood of at least one day per period (~every 2 weeks) in office in Suitland, MD.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience with database design and architecture
- Demonstrated experience in full understanding of information flow and data modeling to ensure system integrity and stability for production systems
- Demonstrate experience in full development life cycle understanding of database analysis, design, development, and architecture to support a fully automated process
- Demonstrated experience as a data model expert that has implemented a large scale multi-Terabyte enterprise to meet regular weekly data releases, integrate process to minimize downtime, and maximize performance
- Demonstrated experience establishing the standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security through design strategies for multidimensional networks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- US Citizenship required

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
