Database Architect Consultant

We are looking for a Database Architect who will serve as a consultant on our Data & Insights team to support exciting consumer IoT products in a work from anywhere environment with people who truly care about you and your ideas.

Location: United States, Remote

Note: While you may be located anywhere in the U.S. for this role, many of our clients work in the Pacific Time Zone, so willingness to work in PT is required.

Requirements:

• Strong data modeling skills
• Real experience with database sharding and partitioning
• Expertise in distributed databases - especially Postgres
• Expertise in high load, time series data - especially IoT telemetry data

Nice to have skills:

• Experience using Citus
• Knowledge of Azure IoT Hub
• Experience with Azure Service Bus and/or Event Hub
• Experience with Cosmos DB

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to team supporting consumer IoT products
• Analyze current cloud-based data architecture
• Help design next generation architecture to ensure scalability and growth of product related systems
