Database Developer

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Database Developer to join their team. This is a full-time position and 100% remote role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent) relational databases, Reporting Services.
• Microsoft Visual Studio, Entity Framework 4.0, JavaScript, and VB.NET, TortoiseSVN.
• He/she must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience in programming languages such as ASP, HTML/CSS, XML, Java is recommended.
• Experience with Dremio and Tableau is required to be able to understand the current system and to support the team with data warehouse implementation.
• Would need to apply their knowledge to create/maintain functioning data management tools, as well as any necessary support, development, maintenance, and training of Federal staff (as needed).

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 6-8 years of experience with various tools/technologies including database development using SQL Server Database, Oracle or other comparable SQL database products.
• Experience with Tableau tool set, Dremio, SharePoint and Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity/knowledge of agile development methodologies and best practices
