We are currently recruiting for a Database Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.

What you will do:

• Working within the Infrastructure Team, you will support the Database technologies in use within our Production and Development Environments bot on premise and in Azure
• Ensure SQL backups and replication jobs are configured correctly and functioning.
• Manage capacity and performance monitoring across the SQL estate,
• Work closely with teams across Technology and guide the software engineering team with architecture and performance
• Supporting Microsoft BI environment
• Enhancement of our cloud and data center Infrastructure to improve performance, utilization, availability and security whilst controlling costs.
• Support the Rimes Data lake with the Business Systems Team.

Who you are:

Core Requirements:

• Experience in supporting Microsoft Database technology platforms
• Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and Cloud platforms
• Experience of auto deployment, scaling and resilience.
• Experience with Database monitoring and management systems
• An analytical approach to problem solving, identifying risks, and mitigating any impact on wider organisation.
• 3-5 years of experience in Database Administration
• Experience in resilience strategies and disaster recovery strategies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with NoSQL or other Database technologies
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux
• Some familiarity with Single Sign On solutions, ideally Azure AD.
