Database Engineer

Description

SAIC is seeking a Database Engineer located in Aurora, CO to manage and move software from its current environment into the cloud.

NOTE: This position is onsite in Aurora, CO.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversee the architecture, management, maintenance, backup/recovery, security, day-to-day support of enterprise databases and related application servers installation and upgrade support as needed
• Monitor, log and resolve database performance issues, response times for reports and transactions, unusual entries in the alert logs and trace files, failures, and free space
• Deploy critical patch updates and security patches within the Government-approved deployment and mitigation schedules to maintain a hardened and secure infrastructures

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's and five (5)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree

• Experience performing data analysis, database design, development activities, and implementation for databases and database conversions
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) database services
• Familiarity with ESRI Database tools and technologies
• Experience with developing database schemas and writing advanced SQL queries on database technologies

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Level II or higher certification such as Security+, CySA+, CND, CASP, CAP, CISM etc.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must have an active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly clearance
• Current US Citizenship required

Target salary range: $145,001 - $155,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
