At Montefiore, our Business Intelligence and Analytics organization is a large (40+) and growing department that provides complex information solutions to our corporate leadership.

The team focuses on the timely delivery of accurate, relevant and easily accessible information to all of its hospitals, as well as Montefiore's corporate decision makers, and, external regulators or partners. The technical team is comprised of data architects, DBAs, database engineers, business intelligence developers and business analysts who shepherd data from Montefiore's multiple source systems to the Enterprise Data Warehouse and then to our customers through the business intelligence self-service platform. We are seeking an ETL Database Engineer to work with Informatica Powercenter.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Analyze source system data with client stakeholders and source system owners to determine a) capacity to meet reporting needs and b) specific transformation rules that need to be applied.

• Advanced working knowledge in PL/SQL, SQL, and experience working with relational and non-relational databases
• Design, Develop and optimize ETL pipelines using Informatica Cloud (IICS) and Informatica PowerCenter
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and orchestrate ETL pipelines using DevOps tools like Bitbucket or Azure DevOps, Jira & Confluence
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured, semi-structured datasets.
• Strong ability to perform unit testing, functional, and regression testing of ETL pipelines
• Build ETL pipelines supporting data transformations, data structures, and job dependencies and improve ETL performance
• Participated with project resources in analysis and design requirements for Data Warehouse/Data Mart reporting and data mining solutions.
• Strong understanding of dimensional data model concepts needed to optimize data analysis, BI tool functionality, and ETL development.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Should be a strong team player and be willing to mentor other Developers on the team
• Should be willing to participate in Production on-call support as needed

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Informatica IICS, Informatica PowerCenter
• Experience with DevOps: Jira, Bitbucket (CI/CD), Confluence
• Experience with Data Architecture and Data Modeling: Erwin, Idera Embarcadero etc.
• Experience with relational SQL including Oracle and SQL Server
• Experience with scheduling or orchestration: AutoSys, ControlM
• Experience with Azure cloud services: Azure Storage, ADF, Synapse, Databricks
• Experience with scripting languages (Nice to have): Python, Scala, Unix Shell Scripting etc.

Education and Certification Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
