Job Title) Product Database Specialist II

(Reports to) Database Supervisor

(Job Overview) The Product Database Specialist II will work within the Engineering department as part of a cross functional team to set up and maintain ERP system part data, set up and maintain rules-based configurator and facilitate ECO processes, as well as support other teams within the organization. This position is highly data focused, requires good organizational and communication skills, logical thinking and basic knowledge of engineering drawings and manipulating large data sets. Working with computer logic and formulas are an important aspect of daily activities.

(Responsibilities & Duties)

• Set up and maintain part data within ERP system (JDE / SAP)
• Set up and maintain rules-based configurator for items with variable characteristics (JDE / SAP)
• Work with multiple other departments to constrain configurator data and output on production work orders
• Manipulate data sets with narrow margin for error
• Read technical drawings accurately and use that information to complete tasks
• Understand production work order process flow, bills of material, routings and outputs

(Qualifications)

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing or similar
  • Significant experience in a related field could be a substitute
• 2+ years experience in an IT/data maintenance/engineering role, or similar
• Preferred experience with Oracle JD Edwards and/or SAP, but other ERP systems experience may be considered
• Proficient in MS Excel (experience with VBA coding a plus, but not required)
• Must be familiar with logical thinking and formula structures (If, Then, And, Orstatements)
• Must be good at working with other teams/disciplines on cross functional projects and daily tasks
