Data/BI Engineer

DEMO SA, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in injectable facilities is looking for an Data/BI Engineer to join our company.Data is said to be at the heart of every organization. For us, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer with exports in >85 countries, the role of Data/BI Engineer is crucial for the company's growth & Digital Transformation. The role’s key objective is to structure & maintain the organization’s data and enable business units and functions to extract value from them:

- Design & implement a suitable Data infrastructure to enable the organization to analyze and extract business value from data.

- Gather functional & non-functional Data analytics requirements from Business Units and translate them into a working design (DWH, ETL, etc.).

- Design and develop analytical tools to extract valuable insights needed for increasing operational efficiency.

- Handle, extract & organize raw data to prepare for various further processes incl. analytics & predictive modelling.

- Design, test and maintain database management systems, data warehouse and build data pipelines.

- Extract patterns in data and implement necessary modifications in the data models used.

- Data analysis and Visualization.

- Ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Data Analytics or a similar field is an advantage.
• 2+ years experience in a Data Analytics, Software engineering, Database management or relevant role.
• Solid understanding of Data Management and Data Warehousing principles.
• Strong SQL Database skills.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Scala, R, C++, C#.
• Experience with one or more Data Analytics platforms / ETL tools (e.g. Microsoft Fabric/Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) will be considered a plus.
• Working knowledge of SAP data extraction techniques will be considered a plus.
• Understanding of Machine Learning Algorithms, Data science concepts, Data mining and Data modelling techniques will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication and collaboration skills to facilitate and work within the IT team and the business stakeholders
• Fluency in Greek & English
