Job Description Position Summary
We are seeking an Analytics Data Engineer Developer with outstanding Python / Spark knowledge to help the Securities Services business identify opportunities to improve efficiency, increase revenue, optimize the operating model and risk framework and create value added data driven Products for our Clients
This is a software engineering role. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple teams including Product Development to develop applications within our AWS Analytics platform.
This is a hands-on role requiring the design and development of applications. The successful candidate will also help formulate the analytics strategy and ensure cross-application data & logic consistency and optimization.
Requirements

• Experience in building data pipelines using Python / Pyspark
• Excellent Python knowledge with a strong track record of delivering with impact
• Experience in Python development including Web application frameworks such as Flask, Bottle and Tornado
• Strong database skills with a thorough understanding of relational database and data modelling concepts.
• Well-rounded in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• Working knowledge on AWS and relevant cloud tools like Glue, Lambda
• Understanding of CI/CD Pipeline builds
• Experience in developing user interfaces and good visualization skills. Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5 and core frameworks such as React.js is desirable
• An ability to be self-sufficient and proactive whilst working in a broader team
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
