Position Purpose
Under general management, the DataOps Analyst plays a crucial role in enabling data engineers and data analysts. They ensure that Data & Analytics environments are properly aligned and that all necessary resources, including hardware, software, and data, are readily available. The DataOps Analyst is responsible for designing, evaluating, and testing data infrastructure configurations. They will also drive maturation in usage of existing systems and build new infrastructure to collect and process data, addressing the company’s needs and goals.Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Administration of data lake (e.g. Snowflake), modern ELT (e.g. Informatica),
- Monitor, analysis and reporting on capacity consumption while enabling informed decisions on capacity projections and cost management options
- Focus on observability, measurability (metrics), automation and quality of the Data & Analytics ecosystem
- Complete understanding of data classification and lifecycle and protective processes to ensure the safe and secure transfers of data.
- Evaluates the potential impact of changes and reports on potential options for carrying out the changes.
- Continuously reviews progress against overall data and analytics objectives and deliverables and adapts as needed to optimize delivery and internal customer satisfaction.
- Defines, calibrates, and communicates data governance requirements as needed.
Education & Experience
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- [OR] equivalent level of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
- Effective working knowledge and administration of modern ELT tools (e.g. Informatica) and BI reporting tools (e.g. Business Objects, SSRS, and Power BI].
- Knowledge of working with big data platforms including Snowflake, MongoDB, etc.
- Effective working knowledge in data integration and data transformationÂ
- Understanding of advanced concepts in data and analytics, including data lakes and warehouses, data science and associated tools, data transformation and management, et
- Effective working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworkÂ
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to generate innovative solutions for internal customers.
- Effectively communicates, verbally and written, findings and recommendations to internal and external contacts on IT matters.
- Experience working with onshore and offshore teams
