Job Description Summary:
The Team – Marketing Technology (aka MarTech):MarTech team is responsible for the technology & experiences driving PayPal marketing activities touching millions of customers worldwide. Team is on a transformational journey to consolidate disparate tools onto a common marketing platform that can automatically drive intelligent decisions about the next best action for any given customer based on how they interact with PayPal products & services. In order to succeed in this endeavour, we are creating an ecosystem that brings together people, process & platform as one; offering our customers a hyper-personalised experience that is both timely and relevant. The team comprises of highly skilled & experienced technologists who work closely with data scientists & marketers in implementing solutions that drive value for our customers and ultimately to PayPal. For you to succeed on this team it is important to be comfortable working in a multi-functional setup, demonstrate high degree of autonomy, stay curious, willingness to learn & experiment, and help drive best of class engineering practises.
Job Description:
MarTech team is part of the broader Employee Technology & Experiences (ETX) organisation at PayPal. You will manage large scale implementation of marketing data sets including data ingestion, integration and reporting.
Depth Type: Deep
We are looking for candidates with:-
- Strong experience in Data Management and Reporting using Salesforce Datorama.
- Exposure to cloud technologies especially GCP, BigQuery.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets.
- Solid understanding of data quality measurements for traditional and digital marketing data sets.
Breadth Type: Narrow
- Data visualisation using tools like Tableau.
- Salesforce Interaction Studio.
- Good knowledge of architecture patterns for Security, Data and Applications.
- Digital Marketing domain.
- Good with SQL and data management concepts.
- Datorama Admin Certification - Nice to Have.
What you’ll do?
- Become the day-to-day point of contact for managing Marketing data in our Marketing Intelligence Platform - Salesforce Datorama.
- Closely partner with several teams- Data Ops, Data Engineering, Marketing Analytics, Ad Ops, External Vendors & Agencies etc to solve for complex reporting needs.
- Review and manage data ingestion and set up automated monitoring systems.
- Ensure taxonomy compliance for all the datasets that flow in.
What will your week look like?
You are participating in the Scrum Ceremonies of the team and are dearly missed if you cannot attend. Everyone loves interacting with you. The team trusts, that with you around, no technical and architectural barriers exist. Week after week you are enabling any and every marketing reporting use cases with rapid Proof of Concepts, building away user stories and features and orchestration across PayPal technical ecosystem.
Skills to be used: Data Management and Reporting. The ubiquitous language used to articulate business or technical problems to drive knowledge acquisition for the team.
What will your quarter look like?
You have identified parts of the PayPal technical ecosystem which needs to be integrated with Salesforce to enable various marketing use cases. You are helping shape & define the to-be state continuously and moving towards it. You are reviewing key metrics, learning from mistakes, and scaling up omni-channel use cases.
Skills to be used: Interaction Studio, GCP, BigQuery, API Integrations.
What will your year look like?
You are helping everyone around you and distributing your specialist knowledge and experience. You are aware of PayPal tech & data strategy. You are aligned and aware of the enterprise-wide architecture vision. All effort in pivoting and improving reference architecture can be celebrated now as business cases are getting delivered at faster speed with quality. Infosec and compliance are most happy as security and governance is built into the design.
Skills to be used: Marketing Domain and PYPL Enterprise Architecture understanding. Collaboration and Continuous learning.
Education & Experience required:
- Bachelors degree with 8+ years of experience
- Multi-year engineering experience in Agile environments implementing SaaS solutions and data pipelines
- Essential experience in managing multiple small/medium work-streams in parallel
- Digital marketing experiences a big plus
