Submittable is seeking an experienced Deal Desk Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA or Missoula, MT. The Deal Desk Manager will support Submittable Account Executives and Account Managers, create quotes, manage basic projects, process orders, and offer sales support.
This is a full time position that reports to the VP of Revenue Operations.
What You'll be Doing:
- Own and improve the contract and SOW creation process
- Review all deals for accuracy and ensure quotes, statements of work and all other contractual components are complete prior to customer presentation
- Responsible for upholding Submittable’s established business rules throughout the sales process and meeting Deal Desk SLA’s for resolution
- Act as primary sales support to sales reps, and Sales Leadership in all things quoting and order processing
- Track renewals and related documents ensuring opportunities and quotes are set up appropriately and following up with field teams when exceptions occur
- Work closely with Sales Executives to structure complex deals
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales process by reviewing data
- Improve Sales team’s productivity by supporting sales reps with Salesforce.com, preparing quotes, understanding products, and data reporting
- Order processing of Purchase Orders and resolving order issues with both internal and external contacts
- Monitor the Deal Desk approval queue to ensure quoting policies are being adhered to, quote timeliness, and escalate issues as needed
- Provide communication and education on current processes and best practices
- Answer pre and post sales questions from partners and Submittable sales teams
- Research inquiries and assist internal and external customers
- Ensure the integrity of SalesForce data
- Take initiative to accept and resolve issues
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- 2+ years working customer facing contractual documents, contract management, deal desk, or sales operations
- Clear business focus and proven track record in commercial negotiations
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; diligent with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask
- Solid understanding of software revenue recognition principles
- Experience in contract management
- Excellent interpersonal skills – verbal and written
- Exceptional analytical skills along with the ability to demonstrate practical judgment in sophisticated situations
- Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly articulate on technical and operational issues
- Proficient knowledge of Salesforce and SalesForce CPQ
- Ability to manage and improve process to increase overall quote accuracy
