Seeking an experienced Deal Desk professional to manage a recently established regional deal desk team supporting the EMEA region providing day to day management duties, deal desk and deal support and projects. The position will report to Sr Manager, Deal Desk collaborating closely to build best practices around the Deal Desk function in order to scale the business. Youâll work with a high degree of autonomy, influence and cross functional collaboration across the organization to includeSales and Product and Pricing leadership, Finance, Legal and other key partners. You will be a change agent champion as we scale our team to support Bloomreach growth trajectory.
Working in one of our Central European offices or from home on a full-time basis. Your salary starts at 3000âŹ.Â
What You Will Do
- Day to day management, coaching, and development of the EMEA Deal Desk team focused on corporate values and employee retention.
- Collaborative partner with US Deal Desk team and sales leadership to continue to evolve the deal desk function as a trusted business partner to the sales team and other internal teams.Â
- Escalation point of contact for sales on questions or guidance related to quoting/pricing construct, deal vetting/issue resolution, approval guidelines or process related to pricing or contractual terms. Serves as an escalation point for custom or non-standard deals.Â
- Manage review of pricing/terms for all opportunities in the EMEA Region providing initial review and documentation of deal terms to ensure compliance with company pricing constructs, contract terms and authority delegation.
- Assist to interpret and modify contractual language as part of escalating approvals to ensure deals comply with revenue recognition, financial, and operational objectives and policies
- Facilitate approval process based on approval guidelines for non-standard, or complex deal constructs. Review or construct unique business terms for contracting.
- Trusted business advisor for sellers for complex or non-standard deal constructs to craft solutions that align with business rules (e.g., profitability targets, pre-approved fallback T&Câs).
- Manage Deal Desk coverage to maintain and enforce agreed upon deal review and approval SLAs, ability to juggle and prioritize requests in partnership with sales leadership
- Collaborate to standardize deal desk KPIs and continuous improvement
- Gather and provide inputs or field feedback to (e.g, key intel or competitive pricing insights) the pricing strategy team for pricing tools/calculators, reports, metrics.
- Partner with Sales management and Finance to find opportunities to improve deal approval process to increase deal velocity.
- Influence and execute on process/system improvements, sales enablement and special projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelorâs degree in a technical or business-related field
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience in a deal desk, sales operations, pricing, or related analytics role demonstrating a solid understanding of pricing concepts, quote-to-cash operations, analytics, and price and deal optimization in a software or technology company.Â
- Prior management experience
- Must have experience working with sales teams and other cross-functional teams working effectively to plan, execute and deliver quality results.
- Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization.
- Effective ability to establish collaborative rapport with internal customers balanced with confident, persuasive, and effective guidance towards solid business decisions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logic skills.
- Highly effective at embracing and managing change.
- Agile, self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and nimbly respond to quick shifting of priorities to support key strategic deals or to support month end or quarter close.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to C-level executives
- Highly proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for advanced analytics and presentation of insights and recommendations.Â
- Knowledgeable use of Salesforce, CPQ, DocuSign CLM, or similar
- Experience with implementations or process improvements for CPQ, approvals workflow, ticketing requests, dashboard reporting or similar
