Job Description
Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for a Deal Facilitation Manager on-site at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.
This position acts as front-line, senior support to BPR's Retail Real Estate Leasing Team, inclusive of Big Box, Restaurant and In-line leasing groups. Provides optimal guidance, education and consultation to legal and leasing professionals in order to properly underwrite the deal terms (economic/non-economic). Facilitates all aspects of the process from deal preparation to execution. Leads and facilitates deal processing efficiency through understanding of the internal and external industry business practices for functions within Leasing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Liaison between Leasing and Legal in order to facilitate deal processes, Salesforce system accuracy, compliance with policy, and resolve issues.
• Advise on negotiation, monitor changes, and update template resources for over 200 tenants in various portfolios to assure property, space, terms, lease language etc. are aligned consistent with established practices.
• Act as a resource for the leasing teams during deal negotiations, including researching of past practices, and provide tools to maximize revenue (where applicable) and minimize company risk.
• Review deal terms prior to lease committee to ensure accuracy, consistency, and conformity with the established business practices. Provide recommendations for specific issues that may have economic impact.
• Research, review, provide recommendations for and occasionally draft and/or modify inline, big box and restaurant Letters of Intent.
• Participate in meetings with national tenants and/or provide support to leasing and legal team members in order to obtain agreement on newly established or modified template lease provisions, including facilitation of the negotiation and/or updating of the template.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 1-3+ years of relevant experience
- Project management and implementation experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, public speaking /presentation skills.
- Experience in Real Estate preferred.
- Good knowledge of mall business preferred
- Basic understanding of leasing process and rent structures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous sales and /or sales training experience preferred.
- Legal/paralegal experience preferred
