The focus of the Decision Support Analyst is not strictly financial, though knowledge of financial concepts is a must. Provides analysis of existing and proposed programs. Develops information solutions through knowledge of multiple systems and network resources. Participates in research projects ranging from evaluation and development of utilization studies to clinical programs and outcomes studies. The role of the Decision Support Analyst is primarily responsible for management of contract pricing structures in the Epic EMR system for Hospital and Professional Billing areas, development and maintenance of multiple physician fee schedules, hospital DRG pricing structures, ancillary ASC groupers and demographics of providers to maintain a balance of providers within the contractual arrangements. Involved in strategic planning and development of action plans to meet network goals and objectives.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and/or healthcare related field is required.

• In lieu of the education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

• Two (2) or more years of work experience in accounting, finance and/or healthcare decision support preferred.

• Working knowledge of Epic EMR and Revenue Cycle functions required.

• Working knowledge of reimbursement for commercial and government payors required

• Ability to coordinate, lead, prioritize, and/or manage multiple projects competently.

• In-depth knowledge of physician fee schedule and hospital pricing structures including Medicare and Commercial markets.

• Must be able to work independently and make appropriate decisions within the scope of the job role.
